I'm passionate about food.
To me the decision to start a recipe website was obvious.
Sure, there are other great recipe and food related sites
out there, but most of them make great food seem difficult.
They've cast a kind of shadow over cooking gourmet foods,
giving rise to the notion that you have to have a culinary
degree to pull it off.
Well, I have a culinary degree. In fact, I went to culinary
school so I could create this website. I wanted to make sure
I was doing things the right way, so when some uppity professional
chef (who, incidentally, are becoming rarer these days) finds
a recipe on my site, there will be no glaring errors. I wanted
to make a better cooking website that covered the little things
like mis en place, food chemistry and mechanics and cooking
to correct internal temperatures.
Despite its slick appearance, this is not another big budget
food site. So far no one here is getting a cent out of this.
It's here because of a love for food.
Like the recipes, this website has been created from scratch.
The recipes are all original and take less than 30 minutes
and 10 ingredients to prepare. The photography that you
see throughout the website (except the four people on the
home page, which is from Getty Images) is of dishes I have
made, plated and photographed. The design of the website,
the logo and the tool icons are original as well.
I've created eat|simple to make gourmet food
unintimidating. Fun. Simple.
I welcome all comments about the site, recipes and any beefs
(ouch, bad food pun) you might have. Without your input, eat|simple
cannot get better.
Good
cooking,
